Messer Work Van Solutions is one of the divisions of the largest truck equipment distributors and upfitters in northern New England. Started by Walter A. Messer in 1899, Messer Truck Equipment began as W.A. Messer Company, a one-man blacksmithing and ship smithing shop on Union Street in Portland, Maine. Throughout the years, W.A. Messer Co. continued to advance and adapt for the changing times. The name changed in 2004 to what it is known as today, but from the very beginning in 1899 until today, Messer has been known for its hard-work and the value added to the community it serves. Messer Truck Equipment is currently led by Walter's great-grandson, Jeffrey Messer. Jeffrey also served as NTEA's (National Truck Equipment Association) 51st president in 2015.
